An 85,000 SF full gut renovation of Corey Union, SUNY Cortland's central student life and campus community hub. The surrounding campus had doubled in size since the building's original construction, with little corresponding investment in Corey Union itself; this renovation reestablishes it as the heart of campus life. The fully accessible building supports multiple group and department-use functions alongside student lounges and club space, and includes such elements as The Glen, a new subsurface outdoor space anchored by a boulder waterfall; The Jewel Box and The Nest, new meeting and conference rooms positioned for central views and access; and a reconfigured 4th floor executive administration suite, supported by a geothermal well-field serving the building's mechanical systems.
